Mitra Jyothi is conducting the second batch of *”Short Term Orientation
Course on Microsoft Excel 2007″* for persons with Visual Impairment in
collaboration with* National Institute for the Visually Handicapped (NIVH),
Dehradun*. This Short Term course will be run free of cost at Mitra Jyothi,
Bangalore. Below are the details related to the course:

*Goal:*

This Short Term Course has been designed keeping in mind the growing demand
from professionals and students with visual impairment. This course will
help to increase the employment opportunities in various sectors for job
seekers, increase efficiency in the existing job, and for higher studies.

*Eligibility:*

-           Visually impaired candidates who have completed 10 + 2 or
above.
-       Knowledge of Basics of Computers using JAWS screen readers is a
must.
-       Good English, communication skills.

*Course Content:*

-  Introduction to Excel Basic concepts with tactile diagram (experts
can start with practicals accordingly)
- More on Custom sort and Advanced filter
- Date and related functions
- Sum / total / Subtotal and related functions
- Count and related functions
- Lookup-vlookup-hlookup
- Charts
- Pivot table
- Mail merge
- Macros
And many more concepts on demand such as What if analysis, remove
duplicates, text to column, transpose, consolidate, if conditions, multiple
if conditions, forms, validation, password protection, customize – excel
options , PMT and more complex formulas and functions  etc.

*Dates:* 11th to 16th February 2013 (Monday to Saturday)

*Timings:* 10 am to 5.30 pm

For candidates out of Karnataka State, travel costs will be reimbursed upon
production of tickets (only Non A/C bus or sleeper class train fare will be

For local candidates and candidates from Karnataka, travel costs will be
reimbursed as per NIVH regulations.
For all outstation candidates, food and dormitory accommodation will be
available.
